I am glad I was introduced to this book Temptation Unleashed by the author Sherry Stanfield on Goodreads. She posted the first two sample chapters of the book titled ‘In the Beginning’ & ‘College‘ which introduce us to Ben, Roch & Cimmerian. Right from the beginning, I was hooked and wanted to know their stories. The main setting is on a college campus and deals with life at University. I loved my time at University and understand how adjusting on your own in a new environment can be difficult.

My knowledge of vampires and demons comes mainly from watching every episode of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Angel, both TV series which I loved. I haven’t read the twilight books yet but I have watched some of the movies & I know that vampires have always been a popular topic and this book is no exception.
I feel the character development and writing in this book was good and I really enjoyed the storyline. I felt that the story flowed well and was believable.
The author got her inspiration from Robert Pattinson and I can definitely see the connection. I imagined the main character Ben to look like Dean Geyer (originally from Australian Idol a few years ago) while Roch to look more like Rob Pattinson.
Cimmerian has the wing tattoos on her back.
Although this book doesn’t deal directly with vampires it definitely has a paranormal theme which I loved. This book should eventually be a trilogy and I am looking forward to reading the next two books in the series.
I am giving this book 4.5 stars because it held me captive throughout and I continued to need to know what happened to each character. I am also looking forward to the next instalments since this is only the first book in the trilogy, with the other two coming soon! If you like sexy paranormal books then you will definitely enjoy this book!
