It’s great to escape to a world where the male lead character Kellan Kyle is a rock star, has a killer body, amazing face and perfect hair! That is this series! The first book is called Thoughtless, then Effortless and finally Reckless all by author S.C. Stephens. This whole series was so amazing! There was so much detail and development of the characters. Now that I’ve finished the whole series I feel like all the characters have grown as people & I’m going to miss them! When I finished Thoughtless I really couldn’t tell where the story was going to go. I thought the story could easily end there as a happy ever after (HEA) but since I had already bought the next two in the trilogy I knew there was more! I was so invloved with Kiera, Denny & Kellan that I just couldn’t stop reading. I was curious where the author was going to go with their intense love. Their introduction and the first few months of their relationship was anything but simple so I had some idea that there was a lot more to the story.
The second book Effortless didn’t fail to disappoint either! There was still lots of angst, conflict and emotion! I got even more invovled with the characters! It was a rollar coaster that had me tearing up during certain sections. The third Reckless was also fast paced and lots of fun to read. This music video of ‘Just Give Me A Reason‘ with Nate Ruess and P!nk reminds me of Reckless. Click the image below that I took while watching it to see the whole music video. I won’t give any of the book away but if you’ve read the book you will see what I mean (altough it’s a bit different to the storyline!).
I had a bit of break between reading the first and second books but after reading the second one, I started the third one immediately. Kellan Kyle is such an intense book boyfriend. I’m not sure I would appreciate him in real life but in the book world it’s fun! He does have his faults, as does Kiera. They do make a great couple though! I don’t know if anything like their relationship could happen in real life, it’s like a juiced up relationship. I have a bit of a book hangover after finishing this series though!
I thought all the characters were very unique and after participating in a Fan Chat with the author S.C. Stephens I found my Kellan. You can read the fan chat with the author at (there are spoilers in there so make sure you’ve read the series before clicking there!). She suggests that she sees Kellan looking like Devin Paisley who I agree is perfect! If you made this awesome Rolling Stone cover then let me know so I can credit you!

These books are another reason why I like reading book series so much! I love the detail and the evolution of people’s lives. I definitely rate this series 5 stars because I couldn’t get these books out of my head, they stay with you a long time after you’ve read them. Now I can check off the first series of my partial TBR Pile Video! Yay!
