The Sleeping Beauty Trilogy

I was completely blown away by this trilogy!  There are 3 books The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty,Beauty’s Punishment & finally Beauty’s Release

The whole series took me 2 months to read because I would read a few chapters on my lunch break each day.  For me, I preferred to read these books in little chunks since they are so intense.  It was my little lunchtime secret!  I need another book that I can read chapter by chapter now so I might try Story of O by Pauline Reage.

You definitely need an open mind if you are going to read this trilogy.  This is the original erotica at its best!  My eyes have definitely been opened to a new world.

I think this is a good series to read after you have read and if you enjoyed Tiffany Reisz‘s ‘The Original Sinners‘ series (see my review here).  If those books aren’t for you then the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy definitely will not be either.

She is awesome:

The trilogy really grew on me. The first book was my least favourite and really hard to get my head around. By the end of the third book, which was my favourite, I was hooked and didn’t want it to end.

I’m not going to post any photo’s of the characters because there are too many characters and not enough descriptions of them.  Just think about beautiful faces and bodies! 🙂

Anne Rice, writing at A. N. Roquelaure takes to you another world of princess, princes & pleasure slaves.

The blurb on Amazon about the first book say’s:

Before E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey and Sylvia Day’s Bared to You, there was Anne Rice’s New York Times best seller The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty In the traditional folktale of “Sleeping Beauty,” the spell cast upon the lovely young princess and everyone in her castle can only be broken by the kiss of a Prince. It is an ancient story, one that originally emerged from and still deeply disturbs the mind’s unconscious. In the first book of the trilogy, Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquelaure, retells the Beauty story and probes the unspoken implications of this lush, suggestive tale by exploring its undeniable connection to sexual desire. Here the Prince awakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty’s complete and total enslavement to him . . . as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience. Readers of Fifty Shades of Grey will indulge in Rice’s deft storytelling and imaginative eroticism, a sure-to-be classic for years to come.

I didn’t think I would give this series 5 stars but after reading the last few chapters I decided there was no way I couldn’t rate this trilogy 5 stars.
