I loved, loved, loved this book. 5 sexy as hell stars.
One of my top pics of 2013.
It made me laugh, it made me cry….
It was funny, sweet, angsty, sad, sexy, violent, scary and full of drama.
Carmen really brings her characters to life. What a brilliant debut novel. She is one gifted
and skillful writer. I found her writing style to be sexy, sassy and juicy.
The first half of this book was sweet and funny which was followed by twists and turns which
kept me turning the pages. So brilliant, so unexpected, and so intense were some of the
scenes that it just blew me away.
It was hard to put this book down. So much happening in such a small town – who would
have thought?
While reading this book, I could vividly picture Elijah and Ana. Carmen brings them to life
brilliantly. If only I could get my eyes on that hunky spunk Elijah Cade. What a babe…Sexy,
sweet, protective and fierce.
And sweet Ana Belle is just a beautiful soul, trying to find her place in life. Her best friend,
Holly, is quite the opposite, foul mouthed and tells it like it is. She is a character to watch
with her steamy love life as well.
The book is definitely filled with all sorts of emotions. Laughter, love, sex, friendship,
sadness, violence and tragedy. Each of these emotions captivates you at every turn of the
book.
If you love a captivatingly stimulating love story, then you will love this book.
The anticipation is building for Book 2 – Enjoy Your Stay – Just can’t wait to get my hands on
the next installment of Sugartown.
Again, congratulations to Carmen Jenner on a fabulously entertaining and mind blowing
debut novel.
