This book Shine Not Burn by Elle Casey has all the elements of a fantastic read including Vegas (my favourite holiday destination) and a smoking hot cowboy! It was an intense but funny book and brought out so many emotions in me. One minute I was laughing and the next I was yelling at the book! I could relate to the characters and feel their sorrow, angst, pain and love. I think because I got married in Vegas last year I could imagine what the characters were going through.

I am rating this book 5 stars because I loved it and didn’t want to put it down. I couldn’t wait to get home to finish reading it. I highly recommend you read this book if you are looking for a fun and sexy book that is a standalone. There are some really funny parts to this book and also some parts that tug at your heartstrings! The book definitely has some surprises and it wasn’t at all what I was expecting which is a good thing!
