This was one fun, quick, hot, steamy read. Lola makes it easy to read as her style is upfront and personal. I gave this a “rocket flying 4 stars”. I only wish it was longer. Lola brings fire to the pages. Scarlet (Scar) and Mace burn up each scene. It was just so Hot, Hot, Hot… I love Scar. She is independent, strong, tough, fierce, sexy and sassy. She is loyal and loving and doesn’t take any shit from anyone (not even Mace). She owns her own Tattoo business (Needle’s Kiss) and has a number of tatts which she wears loud and proud. She is also feminine in the way she is portrayed in her outfits and her hot as sin stilettos. Mace is ex-special ops and he’s home to make a life for himself. He is one alpha male who is hot, sexy, horny all the time, and a bad arse who is protective, dependable, bossy, loving and cheesy all at the same time. The minute he sees Scar, it is all over for him….you can just tell that these two are meant to be together. Scar has the same feelings, but has been hurt too many times to want it to feel real. You can feel the smouldering sexual tension from the first time they lay eyes on each other when Mace walks into the Tattoo Parlour. He’s there to see his brother Trip, but doesn’t realize he would meet the most beautiful, sexy, sassy women in his life. You can just really feel it when you read this book. These two main characters made me feel hot and heavy, as well as made me laugh at their cheesy antics. The dialogue between them in this book is sizzling. From fiery heated moments to amusing situations where you can just only laugh and think, Oh my goodness, this is too funny. Mace wants Scar all the time. He’s always horny as sin and wants her anywhere he can get her. The chemistry between them is explosive. It leaps off the pages. A couple of my favourite quotes in the book is when Scar says this to Mace… “You make my vagina all melty,–wait no!–You make my belly all melty. My vaginas hot!” And Mace says to Scar…. “I’m gonna take you right here on this table, Scar, so every time you’re sitting here working, all you’ll be able to think about is coming apart on my mouth.” The blurb mentions ‘anywhere goes sex” well it is true. Nothing is sacred. It happens anywhere it can. Lola doesn’t leave much to the imagination, it is all there for you to read and see. The other characters who are thrown into the mix are Trip and Teeny. Trip is Mace’s brother and Teeny is Scar’s best friend. They have their own sexual tension which is fun and casual to begin with. It leads to more in book 2 which is just as good as this one. Lola doesn’t disappoint. All her characters are hot and sexy. I mean just that – hot and sexy. Wish I had a bunch of friends as hot and sexy as these guys are.

She has always had a crush on Trip, she thinks she will be on her own raising her baby… will they find a HEA? Teeny has had a difficult, tough life, but she is tough and has learnt to deal. She has built up walls to keep the people at a distance (except for Scar). And eventually Trip… There was always something there, Teeny felt it, Trip feels it…One drunken night of passion….
