I was thrilled when Kim from Read Your Writes Book Reviews left a comment on one of my entries nominating me for a Liebster Blog Award. Like Kim I had never heard of this award. Lucky for me she had done some research to find about it it. You can read more about what she thinks the award is here.
Basically Kim sums up the award as a ‘get to know you award’ and the rules are as follows:
The Rules of the Award:1. Post eleven facts about yourself.2. Answer the questions the tagger has set for you and create eleven questions for people you’ve nominated.3. Choose eleven people (with fewer than 200 followers) to give this award to and link them in your post.4. Go to their page and tell them.5. Remember, no tag backs.
I am going to ignore the less than 200 followers part because she goes on to ask ‘what type of followers?’ and it’s too hard to measure. I am going to include 11 bloggers from my Best Book Blog Directory and I am going to use 11 of the 30 facts about me from my About Me page.
11 Facts About Me:
1. I’m a dual Canadian/Australian citizen but I have also livied in London, England and Berlin, Germany.
2. I moved to Whister, British Columbia for a year when I was 20 to snowboard.
3. I speak like a Canadian but most people mistake it for American.
4. I love scuba diving, snowboarding, skiing (broke my leg doing it), rollar skating, rollar blading & waterskiing.
5. I have eyelash extensions which I love. I also love manicures and pedicures and highlights in my hair.
6. I started CrossFit recently and LOVE it!
7. I can’t sing but I was an extra in movies and TV shows as a teenager including ‘The Santa Clause’ & ‘Tommy Boy’.
8. I got my one and only tattoo when I was 19.
9. I like pop and country music mainly although I will generally listen to anything.
10. I much prefer hot to cold weather.
11. I love the beach and swimming!
